Board Profiles

Lauren Cordrey has been with Anthem for 22 years and currently services as the Special Services Lead in Executive Services, Grievances, & Appeals Department. Our offices handles regulatory inquiries as well as supports the office of the President. Lauren has been in EWI since February of 2005, serving as the Program Director and Chapter Secretary. Additionally she has been a key player in the assisting with the Boys & Girls Club Literacy Program. 

Lauren has been married for 23 years to her husband Tim. They have two daughters, two dogs, and a cat.

Denise Lavoie works in the Support Services division of Westminster Canterbury Richmond. Her department manages and oversees all operations in Security, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Materials Management, as well as coordinates all construction, renovation, and refurbishments for this 800+ resident continuing care retirement facility.

She has three teenage children, was born in Paris, France, and her dream is to live near the ocean in a house with a front porch...either that or marry Hugh Laurie.

Debora is the Manager, Financial Systems Development for Southern States Cooperative, Inc. She has helf various positions with in this departments since she began working with them thirty years ago.  Primarily, she is responsible for evaluating procedures and software for our general ledger and accounts payable for improvement opportunities and to ensure their accuracy.

Since joining EWI in January 1985, she has served in numerous positions starting with hospitality chair and working up to Chapter President. Additionally, she is currently serving on the Corporate Level Nominating Committee as the East Coast representative.

Debora enjoys singing in the church choir, reading biking and bowling.

Three years ago Ann Bushey joined the team at Ukrop's Super Markets as Administrative Assistant to Jim Scanlon. At that time Jim was Vice President of Human Resources. Since then Jim added the responsibility of Operations and most recently was appointed Regional Vice President by the newly acquired Martin's Food Stores. Currently, Ukrop's Super Markets is in the process of transitioning our 25 Ukrop's stores into the new Martin's Food and Drug Stores. It's a very exciting time!

In July 2008 Ann Bushey started her affiliation with the EWI of Richmond Chapter. Since that time she has served as co-chair of the 2009 EWISP committee and is currently serving on the board as Sergeant-at-Arms. She is also serving on the 2010 Women's Symposium public relations committee.

Andrea is employed with ChemTreat, Inc. hs the Corporate Recruiter and has been with them since 2002.  She has been with EWI since June 2004, serving as the Membership Director and Programs Director.

Andrea enjoys traveling, being with her two dogs, and reading.
