![]() Speaking of thankful, our time at CenterStage was fantastic. J. Robert Mooney, Vice Chairman, CenterStage Foundation, was our private tour guide. Mr. Mooney shared the history of the fully renovated and restored, historic, state-of-the-art Carpenter Theatre. The tour continued with the Genworth Bright Lights Education Center, Rhythm Hall, Gottwald Playhouse, and the Showcase Gallery. Then he led us back to the Donor Lounge for dinner and our evening meeting. Fun was had by all as we shared the preliminary works of the EWI Symposium Committee. The final packet has been sent to Membership and all Chapter Presidents. Remember, we only have 200 seats to fill. Thank you to all who have put so much time and effort into making this Symposium a success, because it will be a success! Leadership Reflection: The last few weeks I have been reflecting over my tenure in EWI and my time as President. We have such a legacy in this organization. I thought about last October as we watched the great video of Grandpa Elliott singing in New Orleans and I asked you to "Stand By Me" toward our Endless Opportunities. I look at my baseball with the names of the Chapter Presidents. We are all in this boat together. I look through our Chapter Directory and see future leaders and the leaders that have guided us thus far. We are so truly blessed as a Chapter. On occasion, I wirte down various leadership quotes and put them on my deks to look at and think about. Two of my favorites are "Be the change that you want to see in the world, " by Mahatma Gandhi and "The price of leadership is responsibility," Sir Winston Churchill. Many of you know that I am a huge baseball fan and another favorite quote is from Major League Basbell player, manager, and MLB Hall of Famer, Yogi Berra: "If you don't know where you are going, you'll end up somewhere else." This is so true! Quotes like this keep me focused and organized, or encourage me to stay focused and get organized! EWI of Richmond - we know where we are going, so let's stay focused. We know our mission! The Board works hard on your behalf every month and I am so proud of them. We are all looking forward to April's Firm Night at Luck Stone and seeing their brand new facility. May is our EWI Scholarship Program, where we will award $2,500.00 each to three deserving high school juniors. I hope you have a wonderful Easter and I look forward to seeing you on April 15!
