Happy New Year! This year, 2012, promises to be a very busy, very productive and very exciting time for the EWI Richmond Chapter.  Happy New Year! This year, 2012, promises to be a very busy, very productive, and very exciting time for the EWI of Richmond Chapter. Karen Kuhn has pulled together an exhilarating schedule for us for the next several months and I am eager to get the year started. Things have been moving fast and furious for our Spring Conference - the Spring Conference Committee has worked tirelessly to ensure that the information was available to the Communications Committee. Member of the Communications Committee (aka Melissa Martin and honorary member Kevin Robbins) have worked magic along with Carey Saunders to make sure that the website is up and running for registration for the Spring Conference. Christine Slate will share more details - but how fortunate we are as a Chapter to have such detailed, anorectic and determined people in our midst to accomplish this task - in spite of the holidays arriving right in the middle of the planning phase. As a REMINDER, our next meeting will be on Monday, January 9, at the Richmond Convention Centerand not at SunTrust. Also, January 9, we will have an abbreviated meeting because we will all want to enjoy our special guest speaker Jon Gordon; but we do still have some important topics to cover in that short time. By now you should have received the Budget for the 2012 fiscal year which was approved by your Board. I hope you have had time to review the Budget and be prepared to vote at the January meeting. In addition, Carey Saunders and Debora Honodel will have the renewal packets at the January 9 meeting. Please note that the deadline is January 31, 2012 to get these forms back to Carey. We apologize for the short turnaround. We value each and every one of you and hope that you will continue your membership in EWI. I look forward to seeing you on January 9. All the best, Brenda
